NMAT 2015 was started on 7th October 2014. NMAT is an online test that is conducted on the Global pattern of testing the candidates. Pearson VUE is conducting NMAT 2015 on behalf of NMIMS University.
The first day of NMAT 2015 contained computer based objective type multiple-choice 120 questions, to be solved in 2 hours (120 minutes). It means the aspirant had 1 minute per question to solve. No descriptive type of questions were asked in NMAT 2015.
It was a moderate to difficult exam.There is no negative marking in NMAT examination and thus it results in a high scoring exam. There were 3-4 tricky questions in each of the section of NMAT 2015. Rest of the exam was attemptable for people who were well prepared. Questions were formed in a different manner. There were a few questions with tad higher difficulty. Overall NMAT 2015 first day exam can be called as having a moderate levvel of difficulty.
Logical Reasoning section in NMAT 2015:
Lpgical reasoning section in NMAT 2015 had a combination of Verbal and Critical Reasoning as well as Decision making questions. The questions were from topics like family tree, numerical grid, coding, series, direction sense, syllogism, arrangements.
Language Skills section in NMAT 2015:
Questions in this section were from grammar topics like usage on Parts of speech, tenses, conditionals, modifiers. The RC passages were short and doable. Jumbled paragraphs, synonyms-antonyms also appeared in this section.
Quantitative Skills section in NMAT 2015:
Quantitative skills in NMAT contain questions not only on Quant but also data Interpretation and data sufficiency are the parts of this section. Major part in this section was moderate however a few questions were more time consuming if not very difficult. Number system, Permutations & Combinations, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry were prominent topics in this section. This section had 48 questions and had to be solved in 60 minutes.
NMAT 2015 will continue till December 20, 2014. The exam has sectional as well as overall cut offs. It is important to perform well sectionally as well as overall to beat the cut off.
