NMIMS-SBM concludes Final Placement for PGP Batch of 2015-17

NMIMS Mumbai has completed the final placement drive for its PGP batch of 2015-17. Students received best brands and lucrative profiles in the placement drive conducted by the institute. The institute has recorded highest salary package of Rs. 34.11 LPA in the core MBA programme and Rs. 17 LPA for the MBA-HR specialisation. In the final placements, students from diversified educational backgrounds sat for the placement and the institute mentioned 30:70 ratio for the male : female composition of the batch. NMIMS Mumbai Placement 2017 Highlights

In the current final placement round conducted by NMIMS Mumbai, 587 students participated in the placements and 176 companies visited the campus. In addition, 42 per cent of the batch had already received PPOs/PPIs. With a highest salary package of Rs. 34.11 LPA, the institute has witnessed an overall increase of 20 per cent in the highest package being grabbed by their graduates.

Domain-wise distribution of Placement Packages

In the final placement round of NMIMS, companies from all sectors visited the campus. There were leading brands such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, 3M, Genpact, KPMG, Mahindra, CRISIL which showed eager interested and faith in recruiting the graduates of the institute. Firms from e-commerce, manufacturing, FMCG, BFSI, media and telecom and many more sectors visited the campus. A sector-wise analysis of the companies that visited the campus has been provided below:

BFSI SECTOR

Leading brands such as JP Morgan, Bank of America, Nomura, CRISIL, Motilal Oswal, Quest global, RBL Bank, Citi Group, JLT and ICRA visited the campus for hiring students on lucrative profiles. A total of 27 per cent NMIMS graduates have been hired by 42 companies from the BFSI sector.

NMIMS graduates were offered roles in various job profiles such as corporate banking, investment banking, equity research, corporate treasury, credit and risk assessment, wealth management and securities and investment management division.

FMCG & RETAIL SECTOR

Top recruiters such as Asian Paints, Amway, Bajaj Corp, Casio,Colgate Palmolive, Dabur, Givaudan, HUL, P&G, Pidilite, Titan, Safari, Wildcraft and many more have recruited 14 per cent students from the batch. A total of 28 companies from this sector visited the campus’ final placement drive. Students were extended the opportunity to join job profiles sales and marketing, finance, operations, supply chain management etc.

IT, Consulting and E-Commerce Sector

Eminent companies like Google, Accenture, Amazon, Cisco, Capgemini, Deloitte, EMC², EY, Gartner, IBM, KPMG, MindTree, Microsoft, L&T, Paytm, PwC, SAP, Shopclues, Wipro,Worldline, Writer Information and in all 52 companies visited the campus in this domain. 38 per cent of the batch strength has been shortlisted for final placements by the companies for this sector.

Students were offered some of the most sought after roles ranging from business development, digital marketing, internet marketing, advisory to GRID and product development and finance operations. This sector made highest recruitment from the talented pool of NMIMS graduates.

Conglomerate, Pharmaceuticals and Logistics

Twenty three companies visited the campus from this sector. To name a few, 3M, Cadila, Dr. Lal Path Labs, Emcure, FedEx, Honeywell, L&T, Mahindra Logistics, Piramal, Shell, Vedanta and Novo Nordisk visited the campus along with others.

All the leading industry stalwarts hired 12 per cent NMIMS graduates from the campus on coveted Leadership profiles. Students were also offered roles in Sales and Marketing, SCM, Finance and Operations profiles.
