Positions Vacant in CAPFs and Assam Rifles: If you are preparing for government jobs for various Paramilitary forces then there is good news for you. Yes, more than one lakh vacancies are vacant in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles (AR).
According to the news agency ANI, the Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai has said that the Ministry has been taking and will continue to take earnest steps to fill up these vacancies. The vacancies will be filled through UPSC, SSC and the forces concerned.
Further vacancies in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles (AR) arose on account of retirements, resignation, promotion, death, new raising of Battalion, creation of new posts etc. Needless to say, the filling up of vacancies is a continuous process and the ministry has been taking and will continue to take earnest steps to fill up the vacancies.

It has been said that there are 3,377 vacancies in Assam Rifles,12,808 vacancies in BSF, CISF 31782 vacancies, CRPF 33,730 vacancies, 9,861 vacancies in ITBP and 8,646 vacancies in SSB.

In a bid to prompt and expedite the recruitment process, the government has implemented several measures to reduce the process including medical examination time, lowering cut-off marks for Constable-GD, and streamlining procedures.
