UP Board released the updated syllabus for Class 9th to Class 10th this week. As per the new release, Elementary Mathematics has been dropped from High School syllabus.
Earlier, students had to choose the subjects from Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics and Home Science (only for girls). There were 70 marks allotted to theory paper and 30 marks for practical and internal assignment which remains unchanged. 1. Co-Ordinate Geometry
The execution of the new syllabus will be from the new academic session which will begin in the month of April 2018. Student’s who had chosen the Elementary Mathematics in the session 2017-18 will be allowed to sit for Elementary Mathematics during their 2019 Board examinations. However, there will be no opportunity to give the Elementary Mathematics board exam from 2020 onwards.
This is the major change from the UP Board in the syllabus for the high school students. As the session for 2018 comes to the completion the UP Board is now looking forward for the optimism change in the student’s by amending the syllabus. Moreover it would be interesting for the student’s as well as the UP Board has provided the students with the choice of deciding on the subject.
