Construction of Ram Mandir begins in Ayodhya

The Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra on August 20, 2020 tweeted that the construction of Ram Mandir has begun. Engineers of CBRI Roorkee, IIT Madras and L&T have started testing the soil of the mandir site. The construction of Ram Mandir is likely to be completed in next 36 to 40 months. Iron will not be used in construction of the temple.

Swachh Survekshan 2020: Indore ranked 1st as cleanest city

Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri announced the results of cleanliness survey ‘Swachh Survekshan 2020' on August 20, 2020. Indore has been ranked as the cleanest Indian City for the 4th consecutive time on the list. The top 3 spots of cleanest cities have been taken by Indore, Surat, Navi Mumbai, respectively.

India ranked 1st in number of organic farmers, Sikkim 1st state to be fully organic

India has been ranked in the first spot in terms of the number of organic farmers in the country. In terms of area under organic farming, India came at 9th position. Sikkim is the first State in India as well as in the world to become fully organic.
