The Punjab Police Constable 2024 eligibility criteria is specified by the Punjab Police in its official notification. To be eligible to apply for the Punjab Police Constable 2024 recruitment, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements. The following are the parameters that should be fulfilled by the candidates.

Punjab Police Constable Age Limit 

The Punjab Police Constable age limit has been prescribed by the Punjab Police in the official notification PDF. The age limit shall be calculated as of January 1st, 2024. Candidates who are between the age of 18 years and 28 years can fill the Punjab Police Constable application form. Candidates who belong to the reserved categories are entitled to get age limit relaxation as per the Government of Punjab. 

Age Limit Relaxation for Punjab Police Constable Exam

The age limit relaxation for the Punjab Police Constable exam is given in the following table.

Punjab Police Constable Educational Qualification

All the candidates must satisfy the Punjab Police Constable Educational Qualification to be able to apply for the post of the Punjab Police Constable. The educational qualifications must be obtained on or before January 1st, 2024.   The educational qualifications are described below.

Punjab Police Constable Qualification

10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University. 

If the candidate is an Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification is Matric pass. 

Mandatory Qualification for Punjab Police Constable Exam 

All candidates must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language specified by the Punjab Government, on or before January 1st, 2024.  

Note: If the child is of a Defense Service Personnel, who is a bona fide resident of Punjab State and is appointed by direct appointment, he shall have to pass an examination of Punjabi language equivalent to Matriculation Standard or he shall have to qualify a test conducted by the Language Wing of the Department of Education of the Punjab Government within two years from the date of his appointment.

Punjab Police Constable PST and PMT 

The candidates applying for the Punjab Police Constable exam will have to undergo a Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). These two tests are qualifying in nature. The following activities shall be conducted: 

> Running (PST)  

> Long-Jump (PST)  

> High Jump (PST)  

> Height Measurement (PMT) 

Punjab Police Constable Physical Screening Test (PST)

 

The PST for Punjab Police Constable is qualifying in nature. The PST will be held for those candidates who will qualify the written test of the selection process. 

Punjab Police Constable PST for Male & Female Candidates

For Male Candidates (including Ex-servicemen less than 35 years of age as on 01.01.2024)

(i) 1600 Meters Race to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds (only one chance). 

(ii) Long Jump 3.80 Meters (3 chances). 

(iii) High Jump 1.10 Meters (3 chances).

For Ex-Servicemen Male Candidates of age more than 35 years as on 01.01.2024

(i) 1400 Meters Walk and Run to be completed in 12 minutes. (Only one chance). 

(ii) 10 Full Squats within 3 minutes. (Only one chance).

For Female Candidates (including Ex-servicemen less than 35 years of age as on 01.01.2024)

(i) 800 Meters Race to be completed in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. (only one chance) 

(ii) Long Jump 3.00 Meters. (3 chances) 

(iii) High Jump 0.95 Meters. (3 chances)

For Ex-Servicemen Female Candidates of age more than 35 years as on 01.01.2024

(i) 800 meters run to be completed in 06 minutes (only one chance).

Punjab Police Constable PMT 

 

Candidates who will be applying for the Punjab Police Constable exam should ensure to fulfil the physical standards prescribed by the Punjab Police in its notification. The candidates should fulfil the height requirement that is listed below.
