On Monday, the state of Madhya Pradesh saw the rise of a new Chief Minister. Mohan Yadav, the Ujjain South MLA is chosen by BJP as chief minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav will be succeeding CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the man who has been the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh four times.
It was at the legislature party meeting in Bhopal of the BJP that the decision was taken. Three central observers were present while the decision was taken. The three members were K Laxman 9OBC Morcha head), Asha Lakra (secretary) and Manohar Lal Khattar (Chief minister of Haryana).
Manohar Yadav- the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh
Manohar Yadav becomes the new CM of the state of Madhya Pradesh. He has been the MLA from the Ujjain South constituency in the state for three times.
The 58-year-old CM secured his seat in the recent elections by winning over Chetan Premnarayan Yadav (his Congress rival).
He defeated Chetan Premnarayan Yadav by over 13,000 votes.
Mohan Yadav has been the education minister in the government of Shivraj Chouhan.
It was in the year 2013 when Mohan Yadav became the MLA for the very first time from Ujjain South. In the year 2018, the man managed to retain the seat in assembly elections.

After his recent win, Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude through a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter), saying that he dedicated his win with over 13,000 votes with complete humility to every person in his area and the BJP. Through the post, he expresses his deep gratitude towards everyone for their love, affection, and blessings.
Mohan Yadav stands as an important face of the OBCs. The OBC comprises more than 48% of the total population of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
The Bhartiya Janata Party picked Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh, reasserting its strong faith in the leaders of the OBC in the state. It is interesting to note that Uma Bharti, Shivraj Chouhan, and Babulal Gaur (former Chief Ministers of the state of Madhya Pradesh) belonged to the OBC category.
Not to miss, Mohan Yadav is also considered to hold close connections with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
