CAT 2018: The CAT 2018 slot 1 ended at 12 noon today. More than 1 lakhs students have appeared for the examination. According to the sources, the exam was held without any technical glitches and no reports of errors in the examination. As per the initial reactions, students are saying that Quantitative Ability was the toughest section and Verbal Ability was the toughest one.

Exam Reporting Time:
CAT 2018 exam will be held in two sessions and the reporting time for the respective sessions is as follows:

CAT 2018: Exam Day Do’s and Don’ts
Students have started reaching their respective exam centres from 7 AM onwards.
At the Test Centre
7:30 AM: Students have gathered at the Star Wave Digital Solutions Test Centre in Mundaka, New Delhi. Being a winter morning, students are wearing jackets and woolens, but they are not being allowed to carry them inside the premises of the test centre.
07:45 AM: Slowly, the number of students continues to grow at the Test centre. The test centre gate is now opened for the candidates and they slowly make their progress for the completion of the Exam Day formalities.

08:00 AM: Most of the students have entered the test centre now. The time for the last entry allowed in the test center is of 8:45.
08:45 AM: Latecomers are also being frisked and have to undergo a stringent security check. Jackets, electronic devices, and other personal items are not being allowed.
Prohibited Items allowed: IIM Calcutta has allowed candidates to carry glucose water, medication, jackets, and shoes inside the test centre after obtaining the necessary permission from the test centre in-charge.
In a notification to all the CAT test-takers, IIM Calcutta has advised, “Please be informed that you should carry authorization letter issued by CAT Centre if you carry any of the below-mentioned items on CAT test day due to medical reasons:
- Medical implants (metal/pacemaker)
- Lumbo sacral belt,
- Cervical belt
- Knee pad
- Medicated tinted glass
- Eye drops, medicine
- Glucose water
- Electronic device due to medical reasons.
CAT aspirants Enter the Test Centre
CAT 2018 aspirants have started entering their respective test centres to make their way towards the designated exam lab. They will undergo the following processes before the exam.
9:00 AM: CAT 2018 Exam - Slot 1 Begins

17.50 pm: CAT Slot 2 examination ends.
17.14 pm: CAT slot 2 examination to end at 5.30 pm.

13: 50 PM: Check Slot 1 Analysis
13:47 PM: The exam had 3 sections; Section 1: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Section 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Section 3: Quantitative Ability (QA)
13.25 PM: The slot 1 examination held without any technical glitches and no reports of errors in the examination.

13:17 PM: More than 1 lakh students appeared for the Slot 1 examination.
12:08 PM: CAT 2018 Slot 1 Exam has ended. CAT aspirants are now walking out of their test labs.
10:30 AM: So, far no technical snags or any other major problems have been reported from the CAT 2018 test centres.

Preeti Jain: Overall the exam was as expected and on similar lines as that of CAT 2018 Mock Test released by IIM Calcutta.
Sanjana Gupta: This is my second attempt and because of my engineering background I have managed to attempt maximum number of questions in Quant. Verbal was a bit difficult this time.
12:30 AM: CAT 2018 Slot 2 will commence at 2:30 AM. Aspirants for Slot 2 have started arriving at the test centres, They will be allowed to enter the test lab post 1 PM.
