Delhi School Reopening News: As per the latest update, Schools across Delhi are slated to reopen for Class 9 and Class 11 students starting from 5th February 2021 onwards. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia announced the second phase of school reopening in the national capital today. Earlier, the state government had allowed reopening of schools for Class 10 and 12 students from 18th January onwards, keeping in mind the upcoming CBSE Board exams. While announcing the decision, Mr Sisodia said that physical classes will be held to allow the students to prepare for the upcoming final examinations and the practical exams. Mr Sisodia also announced that the state government will be soon releasing tentative dates for the exams and projects for Classes 9,11.

Schools to be Reopening in Staggered Manner
Announcing decision today, Mr Sisodia said that school reopening will be carried out in a staggered manner. Mr Sisodia also added "We will not call all the students at once. We will only call the students with prior permission of their parents." Moreover, he also said that as part of the reopening process, students, teachers and school administrators need to follow COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. School administrators have been asked to ensure students and teachers maintain social distance inside the institutes and wear face masks. The schools and colleges will also have to provide sanitizers inside the building.
Degree Colleges, Diploma Institutes to Reopen as Well
Along with confirming the reopening of schools for Class 9 and 11 students from 5th February, Delhi government also announced reopening of degree colleges and diploma institutes in the national capital. Similar to reopening of schools, colleges in Delhi would also be reopened in staggered manner and in phase-wise manner to avoid overcrowding of students on campus.
