DIDAC India 2024: Asia's Largest Education and Skills Expo Inaugurated in New Delhi

Didac India 2024, Asia’s largest education and skilling exhibition, began on September 18 in New Delhi, inaugurated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan highlighted education as a priority, emphasizing Victoria’s collaborations with India.

DIDAC India 14th Edution Inaugurated

Aisa’s largest and India’s only exhibition and conference began on September 18, 2024. The exhibition organised by Messe Stuttgart India in collaboration with the India Didactics Association (IDA), Didac India focuses on education and skilling resources, commences at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by renowned Indian Guru and Spiritual Leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the presence of Mr Gavin Dykes, Programme Director EWF & ASES; Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum Cell Chairman, NBA Chairman - EC, NAAC and Mr Ahmed Shafeeu, Minister of State for Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development Govt. of the Republic of Maldives.

Speaking at Didac India 2024 Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan states that,  Education is the key priority for their visit to India. A new refreshed India strategy was launched in Delhi and this time Victoria has doubled down on Education. She further added that there are 200 academic and research collaborations between Victoria and India and Victoria stands as the number one destination for Indian International students. Transnational education is the greatest opportunity for growth, she further added.

Renowned Indian guru and spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar during the inauguration mentioned that technology provides us with comfort, but we also need a calm mind to focus. He further added that educational institutions should prioritize addressing the mental health issues of teachers, students, and parents and it is crucial to establish a platform to help students develop mental resilience for their intellectual growth.

DIDAC India - Day 1

The first day of the 14th edition of Didac India started with an exciting convergence of education leaders, policymakers, and industry experts worldwide. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, Founder of the Art of Living Foundation, and Lifetime President, of Sri Sri Group of Schools and University addressed the educators and industry leaders as a keynote speaker. TIESS (The International Education and Skills Summit)  witnessed exclusive panel discussions addressing the needs of the entire education system including sessions like, “Beyond NEP- Pathways to light and tight governance model”, “Fostering emergent, distributed and authentic leadership in education” and “Teaching in the age of AI-redefining the classroom”.

He further added that India is witnessing a massive shift in the education and skilling sector with the introduction of AI and tech-driven solutions. Addressing this need of the hour DIDAC India’s 14th edition will showcase a diverse array of futuristic solutions and resources to bolster the sector.

Participating Countries

The participating countries include Maldives, Germany, Finland, the State of Victoria, the State of New South Wales and the UK. Additionally, International representatives from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, BESA, Didacta, Global Victoria, Education Finland, New South Wales Government, SEAMEO, and representatives from the Indian States have also graced the occasion. 

Attractions at 14th Edition DIDAC India

Over 300+ Brands from 20+ countries including Google, Apple, HP, Samsung, IBO, BenQ, Janatics, Pearson, and Roombr will be showcasing over 5000 + Products and Technologies including AI, Drones, Educational Supplies, IoT, Robotics, AV Equipment, Lab Equipment, Infrastructure, AR, and VR and more until September 20, 2024. Owners and Trustees, Chancellors and Vice Chancellors, Directors, Chairpersons and Principals, HODs, Professors and Teachers, Registrar and Senior Management from all the top institutions in Early Education, K-12 Education, Higher Education, Vocational Education etc. are participating this year. 

Didac India opened new doors for foreign investments, tech innovation and collaborations to fuel India’s education and skill sector. High-Level Education Round Tables were conducted at Didac India to explore partnerships between the two countries. The discussions took place on various opportunities including exploring course collaboration, Joint programmes, new campuses, student and faculty mobility,  research, etc.
