
Goa University Semester Exams 2020: As per the latest update, the Goa University has announced that the upcoming Semester Exams for the undergraduate courses i.e. BA, BSc and BCom programmes for 1st and 2nd year students will be held in online mode starting from 4th January 2021. Along with the semester exams for 1st and 2nd Year Students which will be held online; Goa University Semester Exams for Final Year students will be held in offline i.e. physical mode starting from the same date i.e. 4th January 2021.
Details about Online Exams
As per the details shared by the varsity, for the online exams being held for 1st and 2nd Year Students, the exam papers will be shared with students through any of the following platforms: Google Classroom, Moodle, Email, WhatsApp, etc. The Question Paper will be shared with the students by 10 AM. After receiving the question paper, candidate will be required to either type answers to the questions or write them down and scan them or click a photograph of them and upload the answer sheet on the university’s website. Students are required to upload the answer sheets latest by 1 PM in the afternoon.
Exam format Details
Along with sharing the details about the online mode of the exam, the university has also shared the exam format and pattern in which the test would be held. As stated above, online exams are being held only for 1st and 2nd year students who are pursuing their undergraduate studies at the varsity. The exam duration would be of two hours i.e. 120 minutes in which students will be required to answer questions worth 30 / 40 marks. Moreover, the university has informed that only one question paper will be set per subject for all the exams that are scheduled to be held online.
Exam Pattern
As part of the question paper, the first set will have 8 questions of 2 marks each and students will be required to attempt any 5 out of them. The second set of question in the paper will consist of 6 / 8 questions of 5 marks each; of which students will be required to answer 4 / 6 questions in total. Moreover, Subjects such as accounts, costing, maths, statistics may have 6 questions of 10 marks each of which students will answer any four, as per the university circular about exam pattern.
