ICAI CA: ICAI Allow Opt-Out Option To CA July 2021 Candidates, Get Details Here

ICAI CA 2021 Exams: Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) announced that candidates who wish to not appear for CA exams to be held in July can opt out. Only those candidates who are infected with COVID-19 or their grandparents, parents, spouse, children & siblings (residing in the same premises) are infected with COVID-19, can avail “opt out option” to the November 2021 examination cycle. The ICAI CA exam fee paid and exemptions granted will be carried over. 

The ICAI CA July 2021 exams for Intermediate and Final courses are scheduled from 5th to 20th July while the Foundation course exam is scheduled on 24th, 26th, 28th and 30th July 2021. Earlier today, the institute released admit card for the July session exams. 

Guidelines to Follow for Opt Out Option From ICAI CA July 2021 Exams

• Candidates can avail opt-out option by submitting the COVID-19 positive RTPCR Report, Aadhar Card and self-declaration form (as prescribed by ICAI) on the ICAI portal.
• They have to submit the COVID-19 positive RTPCR report issued by the Government recognized laboratory.
• The candidate is required to submit their Aadhar Card along with the Aadhar Card of the infected relative, as the case may be.
• The COVID-19 positive RTPCR report must be of a date which is on and after the date of issue of this announcement to any date up to the conclusion of the examination of the course for which the examinee has applied to appear.
• Candidates who opt-out from CA May/July 2021 exam cycle will be allowed to appear for the exam in November 2021 cycle.
• The last attempt of the Old Course for Final and Intermediate (IPC) exams will be extended to November 2021 only for those students who are allowed to opt out from May/July 2021 exams.
• If a student has opted out in any paper during the entire cycle of the examination then they will not be permitted to appear in any of the remaining paper.
• If a student has appeared for the first group and then opts out before the conclusion of the examination of the last paper of the second group, the result of the first group will be declared and the opt-out option will apply only to the second group.

ICAI CA July Exam 2021

The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India today also informed that some of the candidates have been allotted test centres in their preferred cities by not in the preferred zones due to a dearth of accommodation. After the announcement of CA May/July exam dates, students had moved to the Supreme Court demanding the opt-out facility and extra attempt. The petition has also sought the top court’s direction to ICAI to increase exam centres, vaccination drive, among other requests.
