NEET Result 2021 Decision: As per the recent updates, the Supreme Court of India has adjourn the hearing till tomorrow. Now, the SC will hear the plea filed by NTA – National Testing Agency regarding NEET Result 2021 tomorrow. Earlier, the testing agency has approached the apex court seeking directions from it to stay or reverse a decision of the Bombay High Court, which has asked the agency to hold re-NEET 2021 exam for two candidates. However, now the hearing will be held tomorrow.

NEET 2021 Result Likely to be Delayed by 10-15 Days

With the SC slated to hear the plea of the NTA tomorrow seeking relief from holding re-exam for two candidates before the declaration of NEET Results; there are two likely scenarios that might play out. If SC decides to reverse of stay Bombay HC’s decision, then NEET 2021 result will be announced by the testing agency within the next 3-4 days; in all likelihood by 31st October 2021. However, in case NTA’s plea is rejected, then the misery of aspirants is likely to continue with the result being delayed by at least 10 to 15 days.

Fate of 16 lakh Students to be Decided

The National Testing Agency (NTA) held the NEET UG 2021 exam on 12th September 2021 after being delayed multiple times because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures announced by them for the 2nd wave. Following the conduct of the exam, the exam authority has completed the release of the answer key and objection window for it. However, the latest order from Bombay HC ordering re-exam for two candidates before the declaration of NEET results, puts the fate of nearly 16 lakh students on the line. In its plea to the SC, NTA has reasoned that conducting the exam for 2 students would be counterproductive to the interest of over 16 lakh students who are awaiting the results. In case results are delayed, the complete counselling process will also be postponed putting fate of nearly 16 lakh students at stake. This makes the decision of the apex court on NTA’s plea very important.
