Thane Rural School Opening News: As per the latest update, Schools in Thane Rural District are all set to reopen from 27th January for Class 5 to 12 students. Media reports have confirmed that the local authorities and district administration have given their go ahead for reopening of upper primary and secondary schools in Thane Rural areas from next Wednesday onwards. District collector Rajesh Narvekar has instructed all educational institutions to strictly follow the school education department's guidelines in this regard.
News Confirmed by Guardian Minister
The news about reopening of schools in Thane Rural areas was confirmed by district Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde through an official release issued on Friday. The press release calls for opening of all schools of all mediums, including ashram schools, which have been closed since last 10 months due to COVDI-19 pandemic. Earlier in the month, the Maharashtra State Government had allowed reopening of schools for upper primary students i.e. for Class 5 and above based on the ground situation in respective regions. In line with this, school reopening in Thane Rural is being planned from 27th January onwards.
Decision on School Reopening in Urban Areas Later
While the local authorities have decided to allow school reopening for Class 5 and above in Thane rural areas, the decision about school reopening in urban areas i.e. those falling under the limits of civic corporation and councils, will be taken later on. In addition to this, the press release also says that separate instructions will be issued for schools coming in the limits of the Ambernath and Kulgaon- Badlapur civic councils.
