XLRI Summer Placement 2021: As per the recent updates, Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has completed the Summer Internship Placement Process (SIP) for the 2021-23 batch. The institute concluded the summer internship placement for the batch of business management and human resource management programmes across Jamshedpur and Delhi-NCR campuses. This year, the median stipend for the entire batch increased to Rs 1.27 lakh per month whereas the average stipend offered was Rs 1.28 lakh per month. The highest stipend offered was Rs 6.8 lakhs for two months in the BFSI Sector. Despite the pandemic, the institute recorded an increase of over 16% and 5% over the previous year.
Top Recruiters, Roles and Stipend
XLRI students got placed in companies like Bain and Company, Amazon, The Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Accenture Strategy, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Aditya Birla Group, and HUL. The average monthly stipend for the top 10 percentile students was Rs. 1,82,000 per month, while for top 25 percentile students the stipend stood at Rs. 1,63,500 per month.
Also, the top segments based on roles offered were Consulting, Sales & Marketing, and BFSI. Other roles included functions in Product Management, Business Development, Brand Management, Analytics, and Strategy. Consulting and Advisory firms increased offers to around 25% of the batch while IT and e-Commerce firms recruited 22% of the batch. FMCGs recruited 17% of the batch while BFSI recruited a select 10% of the batch for some of their most coveted roles.

As per the press note by XLRI, "XLRI has proven to be the preferred campus by recruiters for Product Management roles, with IT giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Media.net, Walmart Global Tech visiting XLRI with their prestigious Product Manager and Program Manager roles." It further added that, "The placement was successfully coordinated by the placement committee of XLRI." The 2021-23 batch is XLRI's largest batch with 470 students of business management and human resource management programmes offered in both XLRI Jamshedpur and Delhi-NCR campuses.
