MT CET is commonly known as Maharashtra Technical common entrance Test and is mainly conducted by the government of Maharashtra and Mumbai is the competent authority for the conduction of these examinations. The admission process of these examinations comprise of eligibility criteria, application procedure and many more aspects. Candidates who wish to seek admissions in colleges affiliated to MT CET need to qualify the JEE mains 2014 in order to be eligible to apply for MT CET engineering admissions.

MT CET is the annual entrance examination that is conducted by the Maharashtra government to provide admissions to the various engineering courses that is offered by the colleges in Maharashtra. Another significant aspect is that of counselling process. Candidates have to apply online for the centralized admission process (CAP) and the counselling fees of Rs 700 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/BC) to be paid via DD/ pay order in favor of “the director, Technical Education, Maharashtra state” payable at “Mumbai” drawn on any Scheduled/Nationalized/ commercial bank. In all there are approximate 3 rounds of CAP. After submission of applications online, candidates have to take the print out of the same along with original documents and report at the designated application receipt centers (ARC’s) for verification.

 

As stated above, these examinations are usually taken after class 12th examinations. Class 12th examinations play a very important in the life of a student. This is because immediately after 10th class examinations students are offered with various choices in different streams. For instance, there are three broad choices such as commerce, science, and arts. All these streams offer different careers in these subjects and it goes without saying that these careers offer great future prospects to the students. Students opting for science stream can go for degree courses in the field of engineering, and medical students can opt for subjects such as biology. As far as commerce stream is concerned, students can go for chartered accountant courses and degree courses in commerce itself. Adding on, arts also offer degree courses in subjects such geography, political science, English, history and many more.

The class 12 examinations are conducted in the month of March-April and the results for the same are declared in the month of May-June. And once the examinations are conducted, these entrances take place. Students are offered admissions based on their score in class 12th and entrance examinations. It goes without saying that hard work requires persistence and students are supposed to be focused and determined when it comes to their goals.
