GETTING THE INSIDE SCOOP ON TCS ion AND ITM DEHRADUN
Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun is elated to share about their collaboration with TCS iON wherein they will shape their students to build great careers in the tech world. This is like giving a head start to the students of ITM so that they are taught what is required of them as per the industry standards. This would help the students grab best placement and job opportunities after graduation.
For this integration, ITM and TCS are planning to focus on some cool and trending fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, and Cloud Computing. All of these areas will have 4 mini courses with deep learning. The goal is to make each student develop creative thinking skills so they can start their own ventures soon after graduation.
Students who are into AI and Machine Learning will be using tools like Python and R to see how AI works in real life. Besides, they will also improve their understanding about deep learning including machine learning.
Those interested in data science will be given the opportunity to master Excel for data analysis, building data models and data mining to learn to create stories using data.
Students with interest in Cyber Security will be provided with hands-on learning and experience on information security, advanced security, cyber threats and cryptography(secret codes).
Those interested in Cloud Computing shall begin with the basics of cloud computing then learning how to use cloud for big data and building things in the cloud as the course progresses.
Through this collaboration, ITM Dehradun and TCS iON are determined to make the students gain skills and practical knowledge to excel in their respective professional fields. The skilled team of teachers who will be teaching these amazing courses hail from top universities such as IITs, NITK and some are working full-time for leading tech companies.
Some of the prominent names of the faculty include academicians like Dr. Sachin Tripathi from IIT Dhanbad and Dr. Gaurav Harit from IIT Jodhpur, industry experts like Dr. Lipika Dey, a Chief Scientist at TCS, and Mr. Sangmeshwar Patil from TCS's research center in Pune. The students will also gain real-world insights from people like Mr. Anantha Sekar, a Global Head, and Mr. Anjul Pathak, a Consultant. People from different fields like Mr. Shayne Dsouza from XR development and Mr. Chandradip Rana from interactive design will also share their wisdom.
