PSEB Class 10 English Paper Analysis 2024: Students Feedback, Difficulty Level and Question Paper PDF

PSEB Class 10 English Exam 2024: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) conducted the Class 10 English paper today, February 15, 2024. The exam started at 11:00 am and concluded at 02:15 pm. Students who emerged from the exam centres have shared their reactions on the difficulty level of the English exam and the pattern of questions included. PSEB Class 10 English Exam Paper Analysis 2024

Today’s PSEB Class 10 English paper was moderate as per the overall feedback from students and teachers. The paper had a total of 10 questions of mixed formats such as MCQs, short and long answer type questions. All questions were compulsory, however internal choices were there in some questions. The paper had total five sections structured in the following pattern:

Section A  - Reading Skills (10 Marks)

• Question. No. 1 (a): 5 MCQs on the given unseen passage (5 Marks)
• Question. No. 1 (b): 5 MCQs on the given poster (5 Marks)

Section B - Objective Type Questions: (8 Marks)

• Question. No. 2: 8 Sub-questions of 1 mark each

Section C - English Textbooks: (24 Marks)

• Question. No. 3: Sub-questions on English Main Course Book: Prose (9 Marks)
• Question. No. 4: Sub-questions on English Main Course Book: Poetry (6 Marks)
• Question. No. 5: Sub-questions on English Supplementary Reader (9 Marks)

Section D - Vocabulary (4 Marks)

• Question. No. 6: Sub-questions on "Do as directed" (4 Marks)

Section E - Translation, Grammar and Composition (29 Marks)

• Question. No. 7 (a): sub-questions on translation from English to Punjabi/Hindi (3 Marks)
• Question. No. 7 (a): sub-questions on translation from Punjabi/Hindi to English (3 Marks)
• Question. No. 8: Sub-questions of grammar on "Do as directed" (10 Marks)
• Question. No. 9 (a): Question on Notice Writing/Message Writing (3 Marks)
• Question. No. 9 (b): Question on Paragraph Writing (4 Marks)
• Question. No. 9 (c): Question on Letter Writing (6 Marks)
• Question. No. 10: Extra marks for good handwriting (5 Marks)

PSEB Class 10 English Paper Analysis 2024: Students’ Feedback

Students found the paper to be fair, with a reasonable level of difficulty. The question paper was structured to test their understanding of the English language. Some of the questions’ specific responses are mentioned below:

• The passage for comprehension was clear.
• Questions on English textbooks were direct and simple.
• Grammar section was a little challenging yet manageable.

Overall, students were positive on today’s PSEB 10th Class English exam and are expecting good marks on it.
