IIM Sambalpur has conducted the placements for the sixth batch of its flagship MBA programme. According to the placement reports issued by the institution, 100 percent of placements have been recorded for the MBA students with an increase in the number of recruiters across the sectors in spite of the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
According to the placement report issued, more than 110 companies participated in the on-campus summer internship placement process conducted for the 157 students. According to the details mentioned in the placement report, IIM Sambalpur has announced that the placements were completed with 100 percent placements for the sixth batch (2020-22) of the MBA programme.
Salary offered
According to the information provided, the highest stipend offered was INR 1,70,000 domestic and the top quartile of the batch received an average stipend of INR 72,511. The top half of the batch secured an average stipend of INR 56,644 with the average and median stipend being INR 48,222 and INR 47,700 respectively.
The placements this year have also seen an increase in the number of companies offering placements in the automobile, e-commerce, and pharmaceutical sectors which visited the campus this year. IIM Sambalpur Director Mahadeo Jaiswal stated that IIM Sambalpur has passed its previous record and will continue to exceed the expectations of all the stakeholders. He further added that despite the current market dynamics, the students have secured offers from various companies with their hard work and dedication.

According to the details mentioned in the summer placement reports, the first time recruiters and top companies which participated in the summer placements include Google, ICICI Bank, IMCD India, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, IBM, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Tata Steel BSL, V Guard, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Justdial, Bank of Baroda, DSM Group, Adani Ports, etc among others.
