This year, the exam witnessed a record-breaking participation, with nearly 13 lakh candidates registering for JEE Main 2025 Session 1. According to official data released by NTA, the overall attendance rate was approximately 94.5%, indicating a high level of engagement among engineering aspirants.

According to the candidates who took the session 1 examination, their feedback is that JEE Mains has covered all the syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12., in which the exam was held in 2 shifts from January 22 to January 30 January 2025. Session 1 was conducted in various cities of India and 15 other cities outside of India. 

Exam Mode and Structure

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and included two papers:

  • Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) – For candidates aspiring to secure admission into NITs, IIITs, and other engineering institutes.
  • Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) – For students seeking for admission to architecture and planning courses in various institutions.

Each paper comprised multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical-based questions, covering subjects like mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
