After announcing that the Maharashtra Class 10 examination will continue as per schedule, the state education minister has now announced that the Class 10 examination of Maharashtra Board to be conducted on Monday has been postponed. The examination has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-9 spread in the state.

The Education Minister has earlier announced the class 10 examinations of Maharashtra board will not be postponed since there are two exams left which were not well received by the parents. There are approximately 17,65,000 students who will be appearing for the Maharashtra SSC Examinations on Monday.

The education minister has announced that the new dates for the examination will be released by the board after March 31, 2020. The state government had earlier announced the cancellation of the examinations for the students from class 1 to 8. According to the announcement, the students from 1 to 8 will be promoted without conducting the final examination.

Maharashtra Board had until now allowed the students appearing for the examination to carry hand sanitizers and masks along with them to the exam hall.

Maharashtra has reported 63 Coronavirus positive cases.
