LIC Assistant 2019: Exam Pattern
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
Phase 1 is a preliminary exam consisting of online objective test. This test will have separate timings for each section as explained below

English Language/Hindi Language** test will be qualifying in nature and marks for language section will not be counted for ranking. To clear the preliminary exam, candidates need to clear sectional as well as the overall cut-off. The overall cut-off will be decided later.
Phase II: Main Examination
The main examination will consist of an objective test for 200 marks. The objective test will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

In this phase, there will be a negative marking of ¼ marks per incorrect response. To qualify in the Main exam, candidates need to clear a sectional as well as an overall cut-off. The overall cut-off will depend on various factors and will be decided later.
