Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the leading telecom company in the country, issued notification to recruit 162 Deputy General Managers (DGMs) (106 for Telecom Operations and 56 for Telecom Finance) through an All India On-line written test followed by Personal Interview.

Work Experience (as on 01August 2012):
(i) 12 years of post qualification work experience.
(ii) Minimum 3 years experience in
a) E-4 grade as defined in DPE guidelines (IDA pre-revised scale Rs.14500-350-18700 / Revised IDA Scale of Rs. 29100-54500) (in case of PSU experience) OR
b) Equivalent annual gross salary (approximately Rs. Seven lakhs) (in case of private sector) OR
c) CDA scale of Rs.10000-325-15200 (pre-revised scale in case of government posts) / Revised scale PB-3(15600-39100) + Grad Pay 6600.
(iii) Minimum work experience of 5 years in a company with an annual turnover of more than Rs.100 Cr. (In case of PSU, Private companies)
Pay Scale: Rs.32900-58000 (annual increment @ 3% of Basic pay) + HRA, Medical Benefits, LTA & other perks admissible under company rules. [revised IDA pay scale]

Selection Procedure:
All applications would be screened and those found eligible would be asked to appear for an online assessment process (online written exam). A merit list of candidates clearing the online assessment test would be prepared and selected candidates would be called for Document verification.
Candidates found eligible post-Document verification will have to appear for an Interview. Final selection would be done on the basis of final merit list prepared by combining the scores of online assessment test and Interview with weightage as under:
a. Assessment Process (written Exam) 75%
b. Personal Interview 25%
Finally selected candidates will be on Probation (on-job) for a period of two years, including one year of specialized classroom and field training.
