CBSE Class 12 Mathematics 30 Day Study Plan

There are 13 chapters in the class 12 mathematics course, divided across two books. Almost half the exam is composed of calculus, which contains chapters 5 to 9. Many concepts in calculus overlap, so students need to have a solid grasp of the fundamentals and should try to study the whole unit in one go.

The remaining syllabus consists of chapters on vectors, matrices and linear programming, many of which will be new for students. However, class 12 maths is not as difficult if students practice judiciously and learn by heart.

Follow the 30-day study plan for the 12th Maths paper 2025 to bolster your exam preparation. Here are some tips to remember while studying.

  • Try to merge similar chapters in single revision sessions, like matrices and determinants
  • Don’t pick up new topics at the last moment. If you have missed studying an exercise or concept, no matter how important it may be, refrain from learning it in the final days before the exams.
  • Do check the past papers, and sample papers for the importance of questions and prioritise them.
  • Don’t skip revising the topics you think are easy. Prepare them well unless you want to make silly mistakes in the final exam.
  • Go through all the important exercises and solve the NCERT questions and examples, even if you have done them before. The board exams often feature questions directly from the NCERT books.
