Centre Directs PSUs to Recognise Distance Degrees For Recruitments

The Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Universities Board has instructed PSUs to consider the candidature having degrees and diplomas through open and distance mode from UGC recognised universities. The ministry had also written to the Department of Public Enterprises saying "it has been receiving many complaints about PSUs not recognising degrees /diplomas acquired in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the purpose of employment"

According to Department of Public Enterprises, the administrative ministries/departments are requested to advise their CPSEs for recruitment process as hiring to the mentioned boards is being done by Boards of CPSEs.
