- Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (135th Course commencing in July 2013): 250 vacancies
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (Course commencing in July 2013): 40 vacancies (2 for Hydro and 38 for Executive- General Service)
- Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) (Training Course commencing in July 2013): 32 vacancies
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai (98th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in October 2013): 175 vacancies
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai (12th SSC Women (Non Technical) Course commencing in April 2011): 30 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria for Combined Defence Services (II) Examination 2012
Educational Qualification
- For Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent
- For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or BSc (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry.
- For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
Candidates who are studying in final year degree course can also apply for the examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the army headquarters.
Age Limit, Marital Status, and Gender
- IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2 July 1989 and not later than 1 July 1994 only are eligible.
- For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2 July 1991 (2 July, 1989 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C' certificate holders) and not later than 1 July 1994 only are eligible.
- For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2 July 1990 and not later than 1 July 1994 only are eligible.
- For Officers Training Academy (SSC course for Men): Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2 July 1988 and not later than 1 July 1994 only are eligible.
- For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born but not earlier than 2 July 1988 and not later than 1 July 1994.

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 200 and no fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Female candidates.
The fee needs to be paid in the form of cash either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
