Army Medical Corps (AMCs) invited applications from both male and female candidates for filling up 300 vacancies of Short Service Commission Officers. Interested candidates, who have passed their final MBBS exam in Ist/ IInd attempt and completed internship should apply online through AMCs website www.amcsscentry.gov.in till 3 July 2014.

Name of the Post: Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer
Total vacancies: 300 posts (subject to a maximum of 50 women officers)
Emoluments: Pay Scale of Rs.17160-39100 + GP Rs.6100 + MSP Rs.6000 + NPA @ the rate of 25% of Basic Pay (Pay + GP + MSP) and Dearness Allowance
Maximum Age Limit: below 45 years (as on 31 December 2014)
Qualifications: Medical qualification included in First/ Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of IMC Act 1956; permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI; Post-graduate degree/ diploma i.e. MD/ MS/ MCH/ DM/ DNB/ DLO/ DOMS/ DA can also apply.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview and their meeting the prescribed Physical & Medical standards.
Eligible candidates will be called for interview in the month of Jul-Aug 2014 at New Delhi. Those qualifying the interview will be subjected to Medical tests.
Tenure of Engagement: initially 5 years, extendable by another 9 years in two spells -- first of 5 years & second of 4 years;
Application Processing Fee (APF): Candidates are required to enclose a non-refundable Demand Draft of Rs.200 drawn in favour of ‘the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund)’ payable at New Delhi.
Candidates should mention application registration number, name & Mob number on the reverse of demand draft.

Scanned copies of essential Certificates/ documents and Xerox copy of fee DD should be uploaded with the online application.
After submission of online application, candidates should send a printout of duly filled in application form along with Fee DD in original, copy of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificates, if any, and one self-addressed stamped envelope to ‘The DGAFMS/ DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, ‘M’ Block, Room No.60, Church Road, New Delhi – 110001’ by post so as to reach this office within 10 days of the last date of online submission of application form i.e. till 13 July 2014.
