Eligibility Criteria for Engine Room Petty Officers and Trainee Engine Room Petty Officers

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Engine Room Petty Officers (ERPO) and Trainee Engine Room Petty Officers (Trainee ERPO) - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized polytechnic or National Trade Certificate in the trade of Fitter or Diesel/Motor Mechanic or Machinist or welder issued by National Council of Training in Vocational Trade, Ministry of Labour or by the Industrial Training Institute of State Government (ITI)  OR  2 years Trade Apprentice certificate from Government approved Shipyard in the trade of Fitter or Diesel/Motor Mechanic or Machinist.  

Age Limit

• Engine Room Petty Officers   - 45 Years (SC/ST - 50 Years)
• Trainee Engine Room Petty Officers - 30 Years ( SC/ST - 35 Years)
