Online Application Links for UPSC Civil Services 2017 will be active till 6 PM today at official website www.upsconline.nic.in to apply for the preliminary round of examination. The graduate candidates with maximum age limit of 32 years, in general category are eligible to apply.
As per official notification reeased ealier, today is the last date to apply for the 980 civil services post, online application portal for the UPSC IAS Exam 2017 will be available only until 6 PM today and intending candidates can apply at www.upsc.gov.in. The Civil Service examination is considered the most reputed and respected examination in India. Every year millions of candidates try their luck to crack this exam and secure respected positions in the All India Services like IAS, IPS, IFS and other Group A and B posts but only a handful are selected through a rigorous and strict selection procedure which spans over an year.
This exam is conducted in three stages. In the first stage which is for screening the applicants are made to appear for the Civil Service Prelims Examination after this the applicants who clear the pre are required to fill a detailed application form on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in and then they are called for the mains examination. The final stage of selection is the interview stage, after the completion of all the stages separate merit lists are formed as per categories and UPSC recommends a limited number of candidates for separate posts. It has been observed that throughout the history of UPSC ever since British raj the most coveted post of is the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). It is due to this reason the UPSC Civil Service Exam is also loosely coined as the IAS Exam by many aspirants.

The maximum age limit is 21-32 years for a general category candidate. There are relaxations for reserved categories as per government of India rules. The eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the link https://upsconline.nic.in/upsc/mainmenu2.php available on the website www.upsc.gov.in for the UPSC Prelims examination 2017. The link will be activate till 6:00 PM today.
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- for the form submission.
