Tamil Nadu Elections 2024: The Tamil Nadu Election 2024 result will be announced today, June 4, 2024. The counting of votes will begin at 8 AM. According to the Exit Polls for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the BJP-led NDA may win 1-3 seats will be won by BJP and 33 to 37 seats will be pocketed by the INDIA bloc which includes Congress and MK Stalin-led DMK. The state has 39 Lok Sabha seats
It must however be noted that exit polls mention the NDA winning seats in Tamil Nadu and not the BJP which in the past has won one seat in two elections from Kanyakumari. The BJP had an alliance with the AIDMK in 2019 but lost the elections to the DMK-Congress alliance which took 38 of 39 seats.
This year however, the BJP is going in without the Dravidian alliance have 23 candidates fighting out this election with an alliance formed with nine regional Tamil parties from which S Ramdoss’ Pattali Makkal Katchi is the most high profile. The PMK has contested 10 seats, seven last time as part of the NDA alliance but failed. The party however won a seat in Dharmapuri in 2014.
