AIIMS PG – All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Exam is a national level exam held for admission to MD, MS, MCh and MDS Programs. AIIMS PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for AIIMS PG Entrance Test, candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the conducting authority. Candidates not meeting the required eligibility criteria will not be issued admit card for AIIMS PG 2020 entrance examination. The required eligibility criteria for AIIMS PG 2020 exam is provided below.
- All candidates are required to have completed one year of rotating internship on or before 30th January, 2020.
- Candidates aiming for AIIMS PG 2020 belonging to the General Category are required to have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while those from SC/ST category are required to have scored an aggregate of 50%.
For MD/MS Course
- Candidates need to have an MBBS Degree from a University that is recognized by The Medical Council of India.
For MDS Course
- Candidates need to have a BDS Degree from a University that is recognized by the Dental Council of India.
AIIMS PG 2020 Application Process
AIIMS PG 2020 aspirants will be required to fill in the application form to appear in the entrance examination. In order to fill the AIIMS PG Application Form successfully, candidates need to complete the following steps:
Step 1: Online Registration – Candidates need to click on the ‘New Registration’ button and provide the requisite details
Step 2: In the next step, candidates will have to enter their personal and academic details and then click on the ‘Save & Proceed’ button.
Step 3: Application Fee Payment – After filing the application form with relevant details candidates will have to make the application fee payment. Candidates can pay the fee either through net banking or through debit/credit cards.
- AIIMS 2020 Application Fee
AIIMS PG 2020 application form fee is Rs. 1500/- for the General and OBC categories, and Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST categories. Candidates belonging to OPH/differently-abled categories are exempted from paying the AIIMS PG 2020 application fee.
Step 4: Selecting Exam City and Uploading Documents – In the next step, candidates will have to choose an exam center as per their preference and then upload the scanned images of necessary documents in the following format and specifications:

AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Centers
The exam centres of AIIMS PG 2020 are expected to be located in 64 cities across India. AIIMS PG 2020 exam centres are broadly divided into eight different zones. Candidates are required to choose their preference of the exam centres for AIIMS PG 2020 while filling out the application form. AIIMS PG 2020 Admit Card
Those candidates who have successfully filled the AIIMS PG application form will be able to download the admit card from the official website. Candidates will have to enter their application number and password to view and download the admit card. The AIIMS PG Admit Card will comprise the following details:
- Candidate’s Name
- Roll Number
- Candidate’s Photo and Signature
- Exam Date and Time
- Exam Day instructions
- Exam Venue and Reporting Time
It is mandatory for every candidate to bring their admit card along-with a photo identity proof such as PAN Card, Aadhaar Card or Voter ID card at the time of exam.
AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Pattern
The AIIMS PG 2020 Exam will be conducted in Online Mode. As per the new exam pattern of AIIMS PG 2020, the time duration for both the MD/MS Exam and MDS Exam will be of 3 hours. All the questions will be asked in MCQs format. The total number of questions in the MD/MS and the MDS exam is 200. The medium of exam for both the papers will be in English. AIIMS PG 2020 Result
AIIMS PG 2020 result for the January session will be declared on 22nd November 2019. The results are declared online on the official website of AIIMS. Candidates need to visit the website, click on the AIIMS PG Result link. After clicking on the link, a PDF file will appear where they need to search their name and check their results. The Overall and Category-Wise Merit Lists will be prepared accordingly.
AIIMS PG 2020 Cut-off
The cut-off of AIIMS PG 2020 exam is the minimum score necessary to qualify in the exam. All candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50 percentile in the AIIMS PG 2020 entrance test irrespective of their category. Candidates will be called for counseling process will based on the cut off of AIIMS PG 2020. Soon after the results are declared, the combined merit list will be announced by AIIMS. Candidates who qualify the AIIMS PG exam and whose name appears in the merit list will be eligible for counseling. The short-listed individuals will also be notified via SMS and Email.
