The LIC Assistant Registration began on 17^th September and will continue till 1^st October 2019. Candidates who are eligible can apply now on the official website licindia.in. The application process is simple. Follow the given steps:

LIC Assistant 2019 Important Dates

LIC has released the revised eligibility criteria for enrolling candidates as the Assistant. As per the updated eligibility, "Candidate should have the knowledge of the official language of the State for which he is submitting the application. Selected candidates are required to prove their knowledge of the Official Language of the respective States, before joining”. 

LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates’ entry into the examination centre does not confirm their eligibility for selection as an Assistant in LIC. Read the eligibility criteria properly before applying for the LIC Assistant post. Here is the detailed eligibility criterion along with the age limit and education qualification. Have a look:

Age Limit: The Minimum Age of the candidate should be 18 years, as on 1^st September 2019 and the Maximum age should not be more than 30 years. However, there is relaxation in upper age limit for different categories such as SC, ST, OBC and Person with Disability (PwD). Have a look at the relaxation in age limit for each category:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be graduates with a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized University/Institution. For ex-servicemen, the educational qualifications required for the post of LIC assistant are: HSC (10+2+3 pattern) with at least 10 years service/Matric with at least 15 years service/Non-Matric with 15 years’ service + Indian Army special certificate exam/IAF&IN Corresponding Exam

Language: Candidates should know the Official Language of the State for which they are applying. Candidates shortlisted for final selection will be required to prove their proficiency in the State Language.

LIC Assistant Job Profile & Responsibility

LIC Assistants' job profile is similar to that of Bank Clerks. They are responsible for performing duties as  Cashier, Customer Service Executive, Single Window Operator and other clerical services. The main job of the LIC Assistant is to manage the cash counters at LIC offices. They sanction or disburse files assigned to them. They also look into the customer grievances. 

LIC Assistant Salary

The PayScale of LIC Assistant (Clerk) is Rs. 14435-840(1)-15275-915(2)-17105-1030(5)-22255-1195 (2)-24645-1455(3)-29010-1510(2)-32030-1610(5)-40080. The Basic Pay of LIC assistant is Rs. 14435/- per month. LIC Assistant also enjoys other perks besides the salary including the admissible allowances, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance and Dearness Allowance. The total in-hand salary of a LIC Assistant goes up to Rs. Rs 30,000/- per month.
