Delhi Schools to have Summer Vacation till 30th June, confirms DoE - Get Details Here

Delhi State Government has released the list of holidays for the 2021-22 academic session. The Summer vacations for  the students will commence from May 11, 2021 while the autumn break will be from October 12 and Winter break from January 1, 2022. DoE Summer Vacations

Delhi State Government has released the list of holidays for the 2021-22 academic session. As per the dates available on the official website the summer vacations will be from May 11 to June 30, 2021. June 28, 29, and 30, 2021 will be working days for the teachers. The Autumn break for the students will be from October 12 to 14, 2021 while the winter vacation will be from January 1 to 15, 2022. 

The order issued by the Directorate of Education further states that the government and private schools will also be able to observe six holidays including two local and four restricted holidays.

Order Details

According to the official statement issued, during the vacation period, the heads of Schools are authorized to call vacation staff as per requirement for any school-related work (academic, admission, examination) following the COVID Appropriate Behaviours and the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the authorities. The vacation staff called for duty during the vacation period will also be eligible for Credit of Earned leaves as per the SSC leave rules, 1972.

The statement released by the DoE further adds that the list of Restricted/ Special holidays to be observed during 2021 will be approved by the concerned Zonal DDEs. 

The new academic session for Delhi schools commenced on April 1, 2021, with the online classes and the government had earlier on clarified that the students from 9 to 12 classes should not be called to school for classes or exams.

The Directorate of Education, Delhi has clarified that no student from class 9 to 12 should be called for physical classes or exams, practicals, or any related academic and non-academic activities.
