#OperationNEET: NEET 2021 i.e. the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is an undergraduate level screening test for medical admissions, is scheduled to be held this Sunday i.e. on 12th Sept 2021. The rumours also claim that owing to the leakage of NEET paper, the authorities should now postpone the upcoming entrance exam and instead holding it as per the given schedule. No Paper Leak, Exam to be held as per Schedule
First things first, let’s address the biggest elephant in the room; No, the NEET 2021 exam paper has not been leaked and the buzz on social media platfrorms is just that, with no factual back. Therefore, there is no chance that the NTA, which is organizing the NEET UG 2021 Exam, will reschedule or postpone the medical entrance exam due to this reason. NEET UG 2021 is scheduled to be conducted as per plan on September 12, 2021. Students are advised to stay focused on preparation for the medial entrance exam instead of focusing on rumours.
What is #OperationNEET?
The #OperationNEET started trending on twitter and other social media channels following a alleged ‘sting operation’ by a media organization in Rajasthan. The media report focused on nexus of cheating mafia that operates in Rajasthan. The report said that the mafia charged lakhs of rupees from aspirants in lieu of medical seats in government or private medical colleges. As per the report, about 25 – 30 lakhs is charged for an SC-ST seat while 60-70 lakhs is charged for a General Category seat.
Students and candidates should note the media report also confirmed that the persons concerns have already been arrested by the police. An investigation, is underway regarding the same; but the report didn’t mention anything about leakage of NEET 2021 question paper.
