RBI Grade B Syllabus 2023

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the RBI Grade B syllabus for the students to prepare for country’s most coveted exam which is the RBI Grade B exam. The syllabus is divided into three phases, Phase 1 or Prelims, Phase 2 or Mains and lastly, an interview. RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam is objective in nature while Phase 2 is both descriptive and objective. The important topics that are covered in it RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase 1 are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language and General Awareness. On the other hand, RBI Grade B Phase 2 syllabus has three sections in it, Economic and Social Issues, English (writing skills) and Finance & Management or Economics or Statistics.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2023

RBI Grade B exam pattern 2023 is divided into three stages that include Phase 1, 2 and lastly an interview. RBI Grade B phase 1 is an objective paper while Phase 2 has both objective and descriptive questions. The marks scored by candidates in Phase 1 is used to select candidates who will appear for Phase 2. The final merit list of candidates for appointment as an RBI Grade B officer post is decided on the basis of marks secured by candidates in RBI Grade B Phase 2 and Interview. RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B Phase 1 is conducted to filter candidates to appear in the Phase 2 exam. The exam shall be held in online mode only. There are four sections in it, General Awareness, Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. General Awareness section of RBI Grade B Phase 1 constitutes maximum weightage of 80 marks. Hence, candidates are advised to prepare this section thoroughly. The over marks is 200 marks for RBI Grade B Phase 1.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B Phase 2 exam has three papers that are both descriptive and objective in nature. The descriptive papers have to be typed on the computer screen. Candidates opting to type the answers in Hindi may do so with the help of either Inscript or Remington (GAIL) keyboards layout. The RBI Grade B question paper lets you know the type of questions that are asked in it. 

The papers that are in RBI Grade B Phase 2 exam are Economic and Social Issues, English (writing skills) and Finance & Management or Economics or Statistics. Candidates have to select any one subject out of Finance & Management or ‘Economics’ or ‘Statistics’ for Phase 3 exam.
