IBPS RRB Age Limit (As on June 1, 2023)
IBPS has set the age limit for the candidates who are willing to apply for the IBPS RRB exam 2023. The IBPS RRB age limit varies for the post of Officer Scale 1, 2, 3, and Office Assistant. Check the age limit in the table below for all the posts in IBPS RRB.

IBPS RRB Educational Qualification

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Qualification
Candidates who apply for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 (PO) should ensure that they have the following educational qualification.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation.
- Candidates who have a degree in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry, veterinary science, agricultural engineering, pisciculture, agricultural marketing and cooperation, information technology, management, law, economics, or accounting will be given preference.
- Other than this, candidates should have proficiency in any local language.
- Knowledge of computers is desirable.
IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 (General Banking Officer) Educational Qualification
IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 General Banking Officer (Manager) should ensure that they have the following educational qualification.
- A bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline with at least 50% is required.
- Candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Science, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy will be given preference for appointment to the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2.
IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 (Specialist Officer) Educational Qualification
Candidates who apply for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 are appointed as specialist officers for which they need to have a degree in the specified subject or domain. Check the IBPS RRB Officer Scale Specialist Officers (Manager) educational qualification below.
1) IT Officers
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
2) Chartered Accountant - Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
3) Law Officer - Candidates must have a Law degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
4) Treasury Manager - Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance
5) Marketing Officer - MBA in Marketing from a recognized university
6) Agricultural Officer - Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a known university or its equivalent.
IBPS RRB Officer Scale 3 Qualification (Senior Manager)
IBPS RRB Officer Scale 3 are appointed as Senior Managers. Check the IBPS RRB Officer Scale 3 educational qualification below.
- Candidates should have completed their Graduation with a minimum of 50% in any discipline
- Those with a degree or diploma in banking, finance, marketing, horticulture, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, pisciculture, veterinary science, agricultural marketing and cooperation, information technology, management, law, economics, and accounting will be given preference.
IBPS RRB Office Assistant Qualification
Candidates who apply for IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Clerk) should have the following educational qualification.
- A bachelor's degree in any field is needed.
- Candidates should be proficient in the state’s local language.
- Candidates are desired to have knowledge of computers.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria - Work Experience
Candidates who apply for the IBPS RRB need to have work experience. However, those applying for the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistant are not required to have any work experience. The post wise IBPS RRB work experience for IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 and 3 are as follows:

IBPS RRB Eligibility: Calculation of Percentage
The percentage of the IBPS RRB shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidates in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any) and multiplying by 100.
If the percentage is obtained in fractions, then it shall be ignored. For eg. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria: Nationality
Any Indian national or any one of the following is applicable to fill the IBPS RRB application form. Candidates of the following nationalities can apply for IBPS RRB exam for Officer and Office Assistant post.
- Subject of Nepal or
- Subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India prior to January 1, 1962 with the intention to settle in India or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of settling in India, provided they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian government.
