Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025: As the 2025 board exams approach, students across various states are gearing up for their exams. Here's an overview of the latest developments to help you stay informed and prepared.

CBSE Board Exams 2025

  • Exam Dates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10th and Class 12th board exams will start on February 15, 2025. The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 18, while Class 12 exams will end on April 4. Approximately 44 lakh students are expected to appear for these exams across India and in 26 countries abroad.
  • New Exam Pattern: This year, there is an increased focus on competency-based questions. For Class 12, 50% of the questions will assess students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, up from 40% last year. The Class 10 exam pattern remains unchanged, with 50% competency-based questions.

State Board Exams Commencing Today

  • West Bengal (WBBSE) Class 10 Exams: The West Bengal Exams for class 10th start today and will continue until February 22. Exams are scheduled from 10:45 am to 2 pm.
  • Meghalaya (MBOSE) SSLC Exams: The Meghalaya Board of School Education's Class 10 exams also commence today and will run until February 21. Exams start at 10 am, with a duration of 3 hours.
  • Goa HSSC Exams: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education begins its Class 12 exams today, concluding on March 1. All exams start at 9:30 am across 20 centres in the state.

Important Reminders for Students

  • Admit Cards: Ensure to carry your admit card and school ID to the exam centre. You won't be permitted to sit for the exams without them.
  • Attendance: A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory to be eligible for the board exams. However, a 25% relaxation is available for specific circumstances like medical emergencies or participation in sports tournaments, provided valid documentation is submitted.
  • Preparation Tips:
    • Check the Syllabus: Focus on areas that are there in the revised exam patterns.
    • Practice Competency-Based Questions: Enhance your problem-solving and analytical skills.
