The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam two times in a year. The session exam was conducted in January 2025, while session 2 exam is scheduled to begin 2nd April 2025. NTA has released the JEE Main session 2 exam timetable on its official website. JEE Main Session 2 Exam Date 2025 

The National Testing Agency, NTA has released the JEE Main session 2 exam scheduled 32025 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 on its website. CAndiates who have applied for the JEE Main session 2 exam will be able to appear for the exam beginning from 2nd April 2025 up to 9 April 2025. 

The exam will be held in CBT mode for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch. /B.Planning). The exam will be conducted in two shift, i.e. shift 1 and shift 2. The JEE Main exam aspirants must be aware of the exam date as knowing the exam date helps to plan preparation for the exam in the best manner. The city slip for the JEE Main session 2 is likely to be released in the 3rd week of March 2025. Candidates can keep track of their performance by practising and revising the concepts in the best manner.

JEE Main Exam Timing 2025: Shift wise timing 

NTA shall conduct JEE Main 2025 exam in two shifts on each day. The first shift is the morning shift while the second shift is the afternoon shift. Paper 1 shall be held in two shifts while Paper 2 shall be held in a single shift on single day. The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Mains Session 2 exam 2025 from 2 to 9 April 2025 for Paper 1 and Paper 2. JEE Main 2025 Admit Card Release Date for Session 2

NTA usually releases the JEE Main admit card on its website 3 days prior to the exam date. Only those candidates will be able to download call letter who have successfully registered themselves for JEE Main exam. The Admit Card is an important document that must be carried by the candidate to appear for the exam.

In case any document is not present, then the candidate will be prohibited from entering the exam centre and appearing for the exam. JEE Main 2025 Admit Card will consist of details such as the Name of the candidate, their picture, exam details, date, time and name of the centre.

Considering that JEE Main is held two times a year, candidates can appear 6 times. Candidates also have to obtain at least 75% marks for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs after qualifying JEE Main.
  • Is the JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern changed?

    Yes, the JEE Main exam pattern has been changed from this year onwards by the NTA for all three papers, i.e. Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan). As per the new pattern, section B of the JEE Main exam 2025 for Paper 1 will have no optional questions. There will be only 5 questions per subject and candidates have to answer all 5 questions. Similarly, in Paper 2A and 2B, there will be no optional questions in the Mathematics section.
