SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Nationality
Candidates who apply for SSC Stenographer 2023 exam must check their nationality before filling the application form. The candidates must be from any one of the following nations:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed their class 12th or equivalent from a recognised board. Candidates who have a diploma/degree through distance learning approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission can also fill out the application form.
SSC Stenographer Age Limit
The SSC Stenographer age limit varies for Grade C and D posts. Those who intend to apply for Grade D must be between 18 to 27 years while those who intend to apply for Grade C post must be between 18 to 30 years.
