In the NALSAR convocation this year, about 409 candidates have received the degrees and diplomas. It was the sixteenth annual convocation of NALSAR (National Academy of Legal Studies and Research) University of Law. Many deserving candidates received medals also. One of the BALLB Honors student, Tanvi Tuhina, received eleven gold medals for her brilliant performance. Shubhra Tripathy and Karan Gupta of BALLB (Hon) got six gold medals each. Faizan Mustafa, the Vice-Chancellor of University stated that NALSAR has been assigned ‘A’ grade status and stood top among the National Law Universities in the country in the NAAC & UGC rankings.
As per the reports of Times of India, Aishwarya Deb and Nithish R Daniel from LL.M and D Dhruva Aditya from MBA also secured gold medals.
Addressing the students on this auspicious occassion, Governor of Telangana State ESL Narasimhan advised NALSAR University to take up the legal education of common man so that the society is not entirely depended on the practitioners of law.
According to the sources, along with the governor, the convocation ceremony was attended by Justice Thottathil B Radha Krishnan, Chief Justice of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the state of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, who is also the Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, A Indra Karan Reddy, Minister for Housing, Law and Endowments, Government of Telangana among others.
