Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has officially released the BSSC CGL Notification 2025 on 4th August 2025. This will be the 4th Graduate Level Joint Competitive Examination under the advertisement. no. 05/2025. Through the BSSC CGL recruitment, up for various graduate-level posts, for Bihar SSC CGL recruitment 2025, a total of 1481 vacancies will be filled. Candidates who possess the required eligibility criteria can fill out the online form from 18th August 2025 onwards up to 19th September 2025.

BSSC CGL 2025 Important Dates 

BSSC CGL recruitment 2025 application form shall be activated on 18th August 2025. Candidates can apply online for BSSC CGL exam only up to 19th September, while the fee can be paid until 17th September 2025. The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released a total of 1481 vacancies for Graduate posts in BSSC. The vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Section Officer, Planning Assistant, Junior Statistical Assistant, Data Entry Operator, and Auditor. BSSC CGL 2025 exam eligibility criteria consists of fulfilling the educational qualification and age limit. The post wise eligibility criteria is stated in the table below. BSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2025

The BSSC CGL exam pattern has two stages, Prelims and Mains. Candidates need to qualify each of the stages separately to be eligible for selection. BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The BSSC CGL Prelims is the first stage of the selection process. The Prelims exam consists of a total of 600 marks. Check below to know the major highlights of BSSC CGL Prelims exam pattern: 

  • There are a total of 150 objective types of questions asked in the exam. 
  • The questions are asked from General Science & Maths, General Studies, Logical Reasoning/Mental Ability/Comprehension subjects.
  • Each question is for 4 marks while there is a negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers. 
  • The exam duration is for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

BSSC CGL Mains Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates who qualify the Prelims exam will be eligible to take the Mains exam. The Mains exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is for 2 Hours 15 Minutes. Check the detailed exam pattern mentioned below.

  • For BSSC CGL Paper 1 and Paper 2, the marks awarded for correct answers are 4.
  • Paper 1 is conducted for a total of 400 marks, and Paper 2 for 600 marks.
  • The minimum qualifying mark for the first paper is 30%.
