NEET 2025 application form will soon be closed on 7th March 2025. Candidates who re yet to fill the form must apply online by this dte. The NEET UG notification was released on 7th February 2025. As per the latest notice released by the officials, "Candidates are requested to ensure timely submission of application to avoid last minute rush,". Hence, the last date to fill the form might not be extended.
NTA has released a notice regarding changes in the NEET 2025 exam pattern. As per the changes made by the officials, the pattern has been changed to pre COVID era pattern. The optional questions have been removed, making the total number of questions 180 instead of 200. The exam duration has also been reduced from 200 to 180 minutes. In case further changes are made, the same shall be updated here as well.
The National Testing Agency, NTA has released an official notice on its website neet.nta.nic.in on 16th January 2025. As per the notice released, NTA has asked the NEET exam aspirants to update their credentials in Aadhaar as per their 10 Marksheet/Passing Certificate. At the same time, candidates must also ensure that their Aadhaar is linked with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication.
The official notice by the NTA is necessary as per the instructions issued by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. Under this, the integration of APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is to be linked with NEET UG 2025.

All the NEET UG 2025 aspirants have been advised by the NTA to ensure that their Aadhaar details, particularly their name and date of birth (as per 10th Passing certificate), and facial recognition data are updated for the purpose of registration and verification processes. Candidates should know that NEET full form is the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test. It is a national-level entrance exam that is held once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for candidates who are 12 passed/appearing. By qualifying this exam, a candidate is eligible for admission into MBBS, BDS, BAMS and other medical courses across the country. NEET was first held in the year 2013. Prior to this, it was known as All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT). Furthermore, before 2019, the NEET was conducted by CBSE.
NEET notification 2025 will be released soon on the NTA NEET website. The notification consists of the important events related to the exam such as eligibility, exam date, application date, syllabus, exam date, etc. NEET exam consists of a total of 200 multiple choice questions (180 applicable questions for an attempt) for a total of 720 marks. 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer while a negative marking of 1 mark is there for every incorrect answer or if more than one option is marked.

There is no limit on the number of attempts to appear for NEET exam. A candidate can appear as many times if he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria.
NEET exam pattern has remained the same as that of last year. NEET exam is held in offline mode in 13 languages. There are three subjects in NEET exam, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for a total of 720 marks. There shall be a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in NEET exam. Out of the three subjects, Biology has the maximum weightage. Each question is for 4 marks while a negative of 1 mark will be there for every incorrect answer. NTA shall conduct NEET 2025 exam in 13 languages in offline mode. Candidates who opt to appear for the NEET exam in English, Hindi and Urdu can appear for the exam in any exam city in India. NEET answer key is released by NTA in a few days after the completion of the exam. NTA releases NEET answer key in two stages. It firstly releases the provisional answer key and later on a final answer key. The provisional answer key allows the candidate to raise an objection against it if any. Later on, a final answer key along with the NEET result is released after NTA has scrutinized the objections raised by candidates.
NEET UG result will be declared by NTA on neet.nta.nic.in, cnr.nic.in as well as ntaresults.nic.in. Candidates will have to log in to the official website of NTA to download NEET result. The result contains the candidate’s NEET score out of 720, overall percentile, All India Rank, qualifying status and cut off score.
NTA has officially released NEET admit card on its official website. NEET admit card shall have important details present on it such as the candidate’s name, exam centre address, reporting time, etc. You must keep the NEET 2025 hall ticket until the completion of the admission process. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2025 counselling for the 15% All India Quota while the State authorities will conduct NEET counselling for the 85% state quota seats. Candidates will have to register themselves online to participate in NEET counselling. The NEET counselling is done in four rounds and the number can be increased or decreased as per the NEET vacancy.
Once the registration is completed, the candidates will have to fill and lock seat choices. After this process, the set allotment result will be announced. If a candidate accepts the seat then he/she will have to accept the seat and go for institute reporting or else they can wait for seat upgradation and the next round.
