JEE Main B. Tech Paper Review 2024: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 Session 1 is  over. Now the candidates have to wait for the next update from National Testing Agency (NTA) related to provisional answer key.  Around 12.30 Lakh students applied for JEE Mains this year. This makes JEE Main 2024 the one of the biggest computer based examination for undergraduate courses. Most of the candidates are satisfied with their performance in JEE Main 2024. Before the release of the JEE Main Answer Key 2024, the students must check the JEE Main Paper 1 analysis for February 1, 2024. The final day exam was not very different from the previous day's exams, as the National Testing Agency (NTA) has set the paper with a similar difficulty level. Exam Pattern Analysis for JEE Main 2024 Paper 1

As per the candidates, NTA followed the paper pattern from last year and provided 30 questions for each subject. Students had to do any 20 in MCQs part and any 5 from the numerical questions. Thus, total 25 questions from each subject. Check the table below for better clarity.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 Overall Exam Analysis, 1 February

The paper review provided here will be conclusive and beneficial for the applicants of the JEE Main session 2 to know the level of difficulty and the variety of the questions they should expect from the paper.

Shift 1 Analysis

  • Mathematics: The section was lengthy as it required a lot of brainstorming with the calculations. Overall, the questions on this subject were in the range of moderate to difficult.
  • Physics: This section was a bit difficult for a few candidates, but the majority voted for easy to moderate.
  • Chemistry: With a good number of questions from organic chemistry, this subject went fine.

Shift 2 Analysis

Mathematics: Covered topics like Probability, Matrices, Vectors, 3D, Calculus, and Coordinate Geometry in major proportion. The section fall in between moderate to difficult category.

Chemistry: Questions were asked from Electrochemistry,  p-block, d-block, Nomenclature of organic compounds, and Thermodynamics. Overall the difficulty level was moderate.

Physics: This was comparatively easier and covered direct formula based questions.

After the analysis of both the shifts of JEE Main 2024 February 1 we came to the conclusion that today's exam followed the  order Mathematics>Chemistry>Physics in terms of difficulty. Exam Date and Time:

  • The JEE Main 2024 February 1 exam is scheduled for B. Tech paper only.
  • There will be two shifts: Shift 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Candidates' Review and Feedbacks

  • The exam followed the paper pattern.
  • No questions were out of syllabus but a few had to take the help of concepts from deleted topic to get the answer. 
  • NCERT topics and concepts were the part of paper. 
  • 12th Class was around 60%. The rest 40% was from 11th standard.
  • Mathematics part was fine but calculations took time that made the paper look lengthy.
  • Theory based questions covered a good part of the paper.
  • Physical chemistry portion was less as comparative to organic and inorganic.
  • The exam was unevenly distributed.
  •  Probability, Matrices, Vectors, 3D, Calculus, and Coordinate Geometry  were in major proportion in Mathematics.
  • Electrochemistry,  p-block, d-block, Nomenclature of organic compounds, and Thermodynamics were covered in Chemistry.
  • Questions from Mechanics, and Current electricity were the part of Physics.
