UPSC IAS Result 2026 (Prelims Out)

The UPSC Prelims Result 2026 has been released on June 15, 2026, on the official portal of UPSC. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted the exam on May 24, 2026, in which a total of 8,19,372 candidates enrolled for the exam, while 5.49 lakh candidates appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2026. After qualifying for the UPSC Prelims, candidates will then be allowed to appear for the Mains, which is scheduled for August 21, 2026 . As soon the UPSC exams ends, the Commission will declare the Mains result based on which the candidates will appear for the interview. The UPSC final selection is based on performance in the Mains exam and the Interview round.

UPSC Prelims Result 2026: Number of Candidates Selected for Mains

The number of candidates shortlisted for the UPSC CSE Mains examination are 13,343 for a given 1,016 vacancies. Similarly, for 80 IFoS vacancies, a total of 1,046 candidates have been shortlisted.
