UPSC Prelims exam date 2025 has been released by the UPSC on its official website. Candidates who have filled out the UPSC IAS application form can appear for the Prelims exam on 25th May 2025, Sunday. The details about the subject wise exam date, time, etc has been ahred in this post. 

All the UPSC exam 2025 aspirants must report to the exam centre on time to avoid the last-minute hassle. UPSC Prelims Exam Timetable 2025: Shift Timings for Paper 1 and CSAT

The UPSC Prelims exam will be held in two shifts, the forenoon and the afternoon. The paper-wise exam schedule is mentioned below in the table. 

UPSC Prelims Exam 2025: Items that should not be carried to the exam hall 

Candidates must not carry any of the following items while appearing for the UPSC Prelims exam 2025. Here is a list of items that are barred from carrying ot the exam hall. 

• Any valuables/costly items are prohibited in the exam hall. If a candidate carries, then the Commission is not responsible for it in case of its loss.
• Possession/ use of Mobile Phones and other Electronics / Communication devices are banned at the examination premises. 
• Use of Scientific (Non-Programmable type) calculators is allowed and if considered necessary may be brought by candidates. Programmable-type calculators are, however, not allowed in the exam.
