REET syllabus is notified by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). The REET syllabus is composed of two levels: level 1 and level 2. REET level 1 exam can be taken by those candidates who wish to teach in primary schools, i,e. Classes 1 to 5. On the other hand, REET level 2 exam is taken by those who wish to teach the upper primary students, i.e. Classes 6 to 8. REET Syllabus 2025

REET syllabus 2025 varies for both levels in terms of subjects. REET syllabus for level 1 is composed of subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. On the other hand, level 2 syllabus consists of  Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Science or Social Studies subjects.

What changes are introduced in REET 2025 Exam?

The Rajasthan Board has introduced the following changes from this year's REET 2025 exam. Check the changes introduced in the REET exam pattern below:

Details

Five Options Instead of Four

Students will now be provided with five answer options instead of four, reducing the chances of guessing correct answers.

Minus Marking Introduced

Negative marking has been introduced this year. The specific number of marks to be deducted for incorrect answers is yet to be announced, but it is expected to follow similar patterns as other competitive exams.

REET Syllabus 2025 for Level 1 & 2 

REET exam is held for level 1 and 2 teacher appointments. The level 1 exam is only for those candidates who wish to teach classed 1 to 5 while level 2 is for those willing to teach classes 5 to 8. Check the following features for REET syllabus. 

  • REET exam for Paper 1 and 2 consists of 150 questions for 1 mark each.
  • The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours for each paper.
  • RBSE has introduced the provision of negative marking in the exam. The marks that will be deducted have not been notified yet though.
