The official UPSC Prelims answer key will be declared on the UPSC website. In order to check the UPSC answer key 2023 (official), here are the steps that you have to follow:

How to Calculate Marks Using UPSC Answer Key 2023?
UPSC releases the UPSC exam pattern that is used to calculate the UPSC marks of the candidates. UPSC IAS aspirants will be able to calculate their marks using the UPSC answer key 2023 through the following method.
- The UPSC Prelims Paper 1 is for 200 marks with a negative marking of 0.66 mark for every incorrect answer.
- UPSC CSAT has 80 questions with a negative marking of 0.83 mark.

UPSC IAS 2023 Qualifying Marks
The UPSC has prescribed the IAS qualifying marks that the candidates have to obtain the exam to get qualified for the Mains exam. The CSAT qualifying marks is 33%. If a candidate does not obtain the qualifying marks in UPSC CSAT exam then he or she will not be qualified to appear for the Mains exam. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in Paper 1 only.
UPSC IAS Result 2023
UPSC result 2023 will be declared phase-wise as per the exam pattern. After the completion of the UPSC IAS Prelims exam, it will declare the Prelims answer key followed by the result. The successful candidates will then be allowed to appear for the Mains exam. After the completion of the UPSC IAS Mains exam, the Commission will declare the Mains result based on which the candidates will appear for the interview. At the end, the UPSC will declare the final UPSC IAS result 2023.
