Highlights of RRB NTPC 2021 CBT Exam (Phase-5)
- The paper was conducted in Online Mode across different cities.
- All the questions were compulsory and were in Objective Type MCQ Format.
- Each question was of 1 mark.
- It is compulsory to carry Admit Card with affixed Photograph on it and Original ID proof alongwith its photocopy as well.

- The 1stStage CBT is of screening nature and the standard of questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts.
- The normalized score of 1st Stage CBT shall be used for shortlisting of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit.
- There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

- The exam is being conducted in 15 different languages which are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
- Candidates are also required to carry the below things with them - Face mask, Hand sanitizer (small bottle), Transparent water bottle was allowed and Printout of COVID-19 Self Declaration Form provided with the Admission Certificate.
- As per order no F 35-09/2020/II/C-2 dt 19/03/2021 issued by Madhya Pradesh State Government , lockdown has been imposed in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur on 21/03/2021 in order to curb and prevent spread of Covid-19 cases. Hence CBT-1 exams scheduled on 21st March 2021 in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Indore will be held as per the no/ce dated 23.02.2021.
- In the 5th phase, some of the candidates from Chhattisgarh have been allotted exam centers in Bhubaneswar. The Odisha Government vide File No. HFW-SCH-I-EMER-0001-2020 6398/H dated 02.03.2021 has given exemption from Home Quarantine to the candidates from Chhattisgarh appearing for examinations in Bhubaneswar. Candidates with a valid ID proof and a copy of the RRB Exam Admit card/call letter will be exempted from the home quarantine requirement but strict COVID appropriate behavior i.e., wearing of face mask, maintaining social distancing etc. should be adhered to by all candidates appearing for the above examinations.
- Due to the Assembly election, the CBT-1 scheduled to be conducted in Assam state on 27th March 2021 is cancelled and the affected candidates are being rescheduled to the sixth phase. In this regard SMS and Email messages have already been sent on 9th March 2021 to all the affected candidates scheduled in that state.
- CBT-1 exams scheduled on 15th, 19th and 21st March 2021 will be held as per the notice dated 23.02.2021 in Nagpur and will not be postponed due to the lockdown imposed by the Government in Nagpur city from 15.03.2021 to 21.03.2021 in order to curb and prevent spread of Covid-19 cases.
- Candidates were not allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the test was concluded.
